Recognised for its approach to cyber security, Darktrace’s Self-Learning AI is capable of making decisions and taking actions to thwart in-progress attacks

Darktrace, a cyber security company based in Cambridge, UK, delivers technology that protects over 5,500 customers worldwide from advanced threats, including ransomware and cloud and SaaS attacks.

Powered by Self-Learning AI, Darktrace technology works by developing an understanding of what is normal behaviour for each user, environment and device within an organisation, and autonomously interrupts malicious behaviour as it emerges, without disruption to regular business operations.

Award-winning company

Darktrace is an award-winning company, it was named one of TIME magazine’s ‘Most Influential Companies’ for 2021, winner of the Best Security Company at 2021 SC Awards Europe and winner of Security Trailblazer at Microsoft 20/20 Awards, just to name a few.

Most recently it was named ‘AI Cyber Product of the Year’ at the National Cyber Awards 2021, for the second year in a row. The awards recognise the best organisations, individuals, and products that display a commitment to cyber innovation, cyber-crime reduction, and protecting citizens in cyberspace.

“To receive national recognition for Darktrace’s contribution to cyber security is an honour, and testament to the incredible strength of our unique self-learning AI technology,” said Poppy Gustafsson, CEO, Darktrace. “Cyber security innovation is a fundamental enabler for organisations and critical to keeping society resilient against cyber-attacks, and this award is a timely recognition of the innovation which drives everything we do at Darktrace.”

New Partnership

Typetec, an Irish IT service provider, has announced a partnership with cybersecurity company Darktrace.

The collaboration will see the Irish company bring Darktrace’s AI-powered security services to its clients, which Typetec said will “provide Irish businesses with enhanced security and automated threat investigations, enabling teams to prioritise and focus on core business tasks”. In addition to marketing Darktrace’s services in Ireland, Typetec will provide clients with consultancy services, manage implementation and handle customer support.

Speaking about the partnership, Chief Revenue Officer Ken Tormey said; “Orchestrated attacks and actors don’t play by normal business rules and normal business hours. Meeting an attack to disrupt its lifecycle at the moment of need now requires an approach using a proactive security posture that is enabled to execute intelligent, contextual assessments. Darktrace’s AI centric model of continuous real-time learning, detection & reaction has changed the power balance. It is exactly this protection and reassurance our customers need and why we choose Darktrace”
